In the same way "Speechless" is my version of Robin Holcomb's "So Straight and Slow", "Restraint" is my version of Dr.StrangeLove's "Dolly". Dr.StrangeLove is a Japanese indie rock duo who performed on and produced pretty much all of Cocco's albums. The chorus, though, references a different source -- BBMak.
The lyrics for "Restraint" are somewhat autobiographical. I'm far too reserved, and I could probably do well to exercise less restraint every so often.
